1975 445 Long ps reusable connections

Can anyone help me out with getting the original od and id of the powersteering hoses used on these tractors. I'm sure it is metric but haven't been able to find correct size. Have tried a couple of American sizes but not found one that will work without slipping off in a short time. Thanks in advance.

The pipe threads on my Fiat built Oliver 1365 are British pipe thread. One more or one less thread per inch than American Standard,
I forget which. You aren't just trying to clamp hoses to barbed fittings are you? Not trying to insult your intelligence, but I
don't know you. You had me wondering when you said they were slipping off. They need to be crimped under pressure.

Nope, not using barbs. Tractor came with what I call an an fitting now. It is two pieces. One piece has about a 3/8" tapered tail with threads on it. This screws in to the smaller inside diameter of the hose and it is stainless steel. The outside piecescrews up over the outside of the hyd hose and has a very coarse set of threads and also are left handed. I will post a pic if I can find one.

this hose comes from the right side across the front of the tractor and hooks on to the cylinder about middle ways or a little farther back.

It says that you have made 4 posts. I think you need 6 or7 before you can put a photo on. You could go down on site comments and ask for permission.
