Mahindra 6000 stuck in reverse

So had a guy bring me this tractor. Appears that the reverse shiftier fork has broken. Any of you ever open up one of these tractor and if so what all did it take. Talked to a Mahindra dealer and they said the transmission has to come out and be taken apart to get to the shiftier part for reverse. Plus all the sheet metal has to come off just to split this thing.
Thanks for any help

some mahindras were made by tym i dont know if your tractor is a tym or not. the tyms had a shuttle in the back of the transmission. we had to lift the cab and split it behind the transmission. the owner complained of hard shifting in the winter so tym replaced the shuttle synchronizer but only paid for half of the repair. the next winter the owner was back complaining of hard shifting so i suggested we put in some high end hytran that cost about 20 dollars a gallon. problem solved. we think the synchronizer bushings were machined to tight and that the cold minnesota winters would bind things up.

This one has a 4 speed with high/low no shuttle shift. Also the rear end and transmission is one part and does not unbolt fro mthe rear end
