Can anyone out there assist me with the correct way to be sure when you remove your Injection Pump on a Long 610 that when I put it back in how do I verify Timing is correct? I have a service manual for the tractor but it is a little vague on this (at least to me!). the removal part says nothing about timing at all. Installing cautions to be careful and step 1 is align all timing marks in the figure that lists INIEZ/CAV so is it fair for me to guess that the timing index of the crank needs to be on the INIEZ / CAV line? then i can reinsert the pump?
I am having the pump rebuilt as it leaks and loses prime and takes forever to get engine going even after stopping for a day or two. Hoping this solves those issues. Yes fuel does leak out of it in spots. Thanks
