Worthington Chief Tractor

I have been interested in Worthington tractors for about a year and have read many articles on the web about them.I just bought a Worthington Chief tractor made from 42ish Dodge truck parts. I think it would make a nice rig for tractor rides, it should keep up with anything else out there and would be easy to add a buddy seat. I would like to find a copy of the Worthington book someone wrote.
Thanks Hyperpack

Here is my Worthington Chief. Does yours have a front spring, or is it just a pivot axle? They made both types. Mine goes much faster than you would want with the steering as loose as it is. At some point I need to rebuild the steering box. Do you have the Indian chief head hood ornament? Many seem to have been removed, probably for a souvenir.

The Worthington book was written by Harley Collins, unfortunately he passed away last December and I don't know what the availability of the book now is. If you look further down this forum for [b:654c4848f0]Kirk-NJ[/b:654c4848f0] who posted in June and contact him, he may know more about the status of the book because he knows how to contact Harly's son.

I don't remember the model, but Craigslist Waterloo, IA has had a Worthington listed for a few days. I have no interest in it.

My email is open in classic view. Hit send email on right and i'll get you the info on Jim, Harley's son, about the book. Here's a shot of my latest chief. Always seem to be a hit at the show weather this style, the G6 or the later dodge style.
