Drained the oil in my 880 gas today. Spun the old filter off which is a fleetguard. Tried installing an Agco 100 126 ASA. It went on about a half a turn and locked up. Had a heck of a time getting it back off. Tried it again with same result. Went to the shelf and got another one, same result. Third one same thing. Grabbed the used fleetguard and it spun on and off with no problem. Any ideas other than throw the three Agco ones away and buy another fleetguard? I can't return these, I bought them about 3 years ago. THANKS!

Wherever you bought the AGCO ones may exchange them for some that will work. I bought several Fram C-159 when Family Farm and home stopped carrying them. Also Fram C-252 or C-253 works, Auto Zone can get those.

on the subject, WIX has two versions, 51105 that is 6 3/8 tall and 51700 that is 8 1/8 tall. Has anyone used the taller version with success?

The short one is for gas engines and the tall one is for a diesel. Tried a NAPA filter with the same results. I will be taking the filter base to the dealer. He wants to see what the problem is

Thanks for that. That's the right Oliver part number. Baldwin shows the threads are 2 3/4 - 4, so you could put calipers on them to compare.
