Oliver 440 Oil Pan Removal

Friend has a 440 that has developed a slight knock especially when increasing the throttle and we wanted to know if the oil pan can be removed with the engine in place? Thanks in advance.

I would expect so. I don t think I ve come across many (even any) engines where that id not possible.

Do you know of any (other than a late registered car, possibly)?

I sent you an e-mail. Did you receive it? The big problem is putting the pan back on without any leaks.

Yes it can be removed with the engine in place. Unless you have the reinforced frame. That will make it hard or not an option. You will know by the cross bar in the why.

Curious to know if you were able to remove the oil pan on your 440. I believe all 440's would have the reinforced frame and am curious to know if it is possible.
