Parts searching steering cylinder kit & steering Bus

looking for a steering cylinder rebuild kit or individual parts to repair it, and i am looking for the round bumper bushings that go on the front axle I think they are part number K 504 but not 100% sure and a I think it called the rear steering bushing paret # D-719 all for my Oliver 1550 the front wheels start shaking and turning side to side when I got over 15mph I can see the seal that where the steering shaft connects to the steering cylinder is shot

Jerry has all of those parts at agpartsfirst dot com. The steering cylinder parts come in a kit. Last one I bought
was $25, but I would expect they might be a little more now.

thank u, and my 1550 has a pump that runs of the Hydra drive it sits right next to the distributor I cannot find any info about it? question 2 is my steering cylinder has not lines that run to it and there is no line on the tractor for it I see in all the rebuild videos they have hydraulic lines that run to them I have a manual steering box that connects to the pump by the distributor and then connects to the steering wheel and my tractor has the steering cylinder below the manual steering box the no lines to the steering cylinder confuses me....I think I need to rebuild the poiwer steering pump I need a kit for that and a seal for the manual steering box I they did have the cylinder seal replacement kit at ag firstso thanks again for that

thank u, and my 1550 has a pump that runs of the Hydra drive it sits right next to the distributor I cannot find any info about it with a steering shaft from the steering wheel to the pump and a steering shaft to the steering box I need a kit for that pump like said I cannot find any real info about it sorry the part tractor has the steering cylinder for some reason I figure they were both the same

I'd have to see pictures. Are you saying you have manual steering with some sort of power steering assist in the
steering shaft? I've never seen one. All I know are the ones with hydrostatic power steering that runs off the
tractor hydraulic system.

O. K. Your tractor does not have factory power steering. The kit R Lund mentioned does not fit your tractor. You have an after market steering unit The line you show
going to the hydraulic unit is the return line. How loose is the steering unit linkage?

t is pretty loose the u joints in the linkage have some play and like I said above 15mph the wheels start to turn back and forth by themselves,

I've had them shimmy when the big nuts on top of the spindles, holding the steering arms on, loosen up a little.
Knock those tabs down flat and see if you can tighten them some.

will try that I noticed the pitman arm has a little bit of play to it as well it there a bushing in them in the parts manual it looks like there is a bushing, also if anyone has any idea on a replacement power steering pump that would fit the setup on there this one is weak and noisy

That looks like a Charlynn aftermarket power steering, never seen one on a 4 digit, I have one on a 77 that will shimmy at road speed, the aftermarket
unit will allow more play in the whole system, may not be able to stop the shimmy, try tightening up everything as mentioned. you can also put a bit of
toe in on the front wheels that may help.

From the pictures you have manual steering with a CharLynn aftermarket power steering unit. What you are calling the hydraulic pump is a torque generator. You should have a seperate belt driven hydraulic pump/reservoir driven by a belt from the crankshaft. It is possible that you have hoses running from the hydraulic unit to the torque generator but they are not common. Where do the hoses from your torque generator go? Look on Bates International website or google CharLynn Power Steering. I have one on an 88 that is powered by the hydraulic system and it works but doesn't steer as easy as the ones with the belt drive pump. Kits are available for the torque generator but they have a couple pages of instructions for rebuilding them that must be followed or it will not work when you put it back together. Jack up the front of the tractor and have someone turn the steering wheel while you are laying under the front end and look for anything loose/sloppy in all of the linkage. Also check the oil level in the steering box under the radiator, looks like it's seeping a bit, might be low on oil making it harder to steer. That's my 2 cents worth. Chris
