Posting for a friend. Does anyone know of someone near Nebraska that repairs cylinder heads, or knows where to find a cylinder head for 550 diesel. Email is open. Thanks in advance.

what do you mean by repairing it? is it a rebuild or a cracked head?

Need a serial number here. the 550 wa a 144 cubic inch engine on the early engines 155 cubic inch on the later tractors. The heads and manifolds are different. Most likely the head is cracked. show me one that is not cracked!

All depends on WHERE the crack is if it will cause trouble or not. Head MIGHT be fine to run as is.

Pushing water out of radiator. Cracked in intake valve and injector area.

THere is one place in Kansas city that does heads. Not sure how extensive of repairs they do, but they seem to be only ones in town. It is called Noland's. I just had a head done on my Case. Takes a month or so as they are so backed up.
