Exhaust/intake gasket?

And I have the odd ball. My gasket has some sort of metal cups. No gasket material shows anywhere.

Intakes are so black I can't get a picture.

See pic - right - one that has blown out. Left is the front cylinder - cup sort of split...

I have an exhaust gasket that leaks also. I was told not to just replace it without taking the manifold in to be milled true. It would just leak again soon. I got
the gasket set from Korves.

Those little gaskets are part #KA422 (x9) as John said. They're available from the usual Oliver parts providers. If I was doing the job I'd probably get the manifold milled flat as well. Good luck.

Got with my brother. He knows someone nearby that has big surface grinder. BUT. He said I'm looking at a lot of work. He suggested JB weld - Fill in the gap and extend past the gap some on each side. Just layer it in a little at time.

If the JB weld doesn't work then tackle the old studs and nuts. Have to pull exhaust pipe and muffler, part of the air intake, air filter and hood.......

Milling can remove a mm or more at each pass, if necessary. A surface grinder generally takes off far less each pass (mine, which is relatively small - 18" x 6" with manual traverse - is best at less than 0.02mm per pass).

(quoted from post at 07:31:20 08/06/23) That is not a bad job. Do it right the first time. More details later today! !

Tried to clean the area and it proved to be tough going - awkward to get at and best was using a stainless brush (tooth brush size). Cleaned another port and it looked like it's close to leaking.

Found a 3 dealers in the State. Looked at one website and didn't find a intake/exhaust gasket of any kind. So filled out contact page, tell of what I had and asked of what way would be the best, the old 88 style (9 of the discs) or the sheet that Yesterday's Tractor has. Of course, Closed on Sunday.

My brother knows the man, not me. He has done work for me before. He can grind to any dimension I ask for.

You don't need to fill out a dealer form. A member above told you Korves carries them. A google search shows Maibach carries them. Jerry @ Agpartsfirst carries them on his site. Rick's Ag Parts probably carries them as well. All are very reputable Oliver/White parts suppliers and supporters.

Nothing about Korves, just this "Those little gaskets are part #KA422 (x9) as John said."

Korves is the website I searched and couldn't find intake/exhaust gaskets, not for a 1650. So I didn't see so I filled out the Contact sheet.

On Dial Up, 1.1 mile out in the country, 220 feet below ground level. No cable and Wireless can't reach us. Satellite is way too expensive - $80 per month. I have to drive to the top of hill in order to use my flat phone. You can stand right beside my home phone and can't reach me if using a cell phone. Even the guys with "Can you hear me now?" can't reach us. They don't understand this as their information shows excellent for reception.

A lot of the Oliver dealers I saw are very high rated. I like that.

So can I, but I would mill off the majorityof metal to be removed and finish to the nearest tenth of a thou. (if necessary) on the surface grinder. Just different machines for different applications.

(quoted from post at 21:44:57 08/06/23) NEWIoliver posted about Korves. They carry many items not on their website.
The link to Maibach is here: https://www.maibachtractor.com/product/ka422-gasket-manifold-2/
Here's Agpartsfirst entire kit: https://agpartsfirstllc.mybigcommerce.com/gasket-set-manifold/

They are all very highly rated and we all like that.
