1755 injection pump

My brother owns a 1755. There was a piece inside that
deteriorated and it needed to be rebuilt. He went
through a local friend of his who owns his own diesel
repair shop. His friend took the pump to a local place
that repairs injection pumps. The head was bad in his
pump so they gave him a rebuilt pump. When he sent his
in he had left the banjo bolts and a few other parts on his
pump. New pump came back without the parts. He got
the parts back and he and his mechanic friend went to
install the reman pump only to realize it wasnt even close
to being like the one originally on the tractor. Same style,
but different. Reman has different setup for linkages but
the worst is it has an electric fuel shut off. Original was
manual. The electric shutoff on the reman is also 24 volt.
Needless to say hes not too happy and will be making
some phone calls tomorrow !

I suppose there's a chance they gave you the wrong pump but it doesn't sound like it. I've referred people to dieseltech here on these boards and they've had good experiences.

I really didnt know he had an issue. Something he never
mentioned. If he had I would have recommended him
also.

Sounds like he got the wrong pump back, Oliver/Waukesha engines with Stanadyne/Roosa pumps MUST have the line outlets in place before pump is installed on engine as the one next to the block can't be removed/replaced with pump on engine like other make engines can.
