I'm replacing the clutch on my 1650, and
figured I may as well fix the leak on this
as well. How does this fitting seal? It's
the line that exits the cover plate under
the filter.

I thought so too Mike, but it shows up in modern. No picture though. Without a picture, I can only assume he means that piece that, I think, has an o ring and has to be fixed from the inside.

I agree, I fixed mine last fall when the sprocket nut came off. I almost never check modern view.
