Rear loader pump on 1365 Oliver for 1510 loader

Several months ago I posted on here that I was having problems with my rear hydraulic pump attached to my 1365 fora 1510 loader. This pump has actually been blowing the rear seal and putting the hydraulic fluid from the loader reservoir.
I have finally found an overhaul kit for my pump but I am a little hesitant in using it if there is something else going on. Most that I talk to says the pump is bad and needs worked on. I'm looking for opinions before I install this very expensive overhaul kit.
Thanks in advance.

Shaft seals can fail do to age or heat, but in general pumps develop shaft leaks for two reasons, internal porting for the case drain is blocked, or rotor camber sides are scored up and the bypass is exceeding the capacity of the case drain. You will need to disassemble and inspect the pump to judge it's condition. Match mark sections of the pump and even take pictures to ensure success. Are replacement pumps hard to find if pump is damaged?

Those pumps used to be dirt cheap, but I don't know if you can still get them or not. If you call Rick at Rick's Ag Parts, he could tell you right quick.
