Oliver 1365 camshaft and lifters questions

I found a broken lifter that has caused damaged to the lobe on the camshaft. I have found a used camshaft but "car" people are telling that I need new lifters or I will destroy the camshaft in no time at all.
Anyone know if this applies to these tractor motors also??

If there is any pitting or if they re dished at the bottom I would change them because they will give you trouble
