Sputtering after warming up and stalls

Looking for some advice on this one. I started my cockshutt 30 this morning and it started up great. Ran for about 2 minutes and then started acting like out of fuel or maybe coil or points issue? I just timed it last year in the fall and was running great. There was no fuel in the tank or carb at the end of the season. I don't believe it is a timing issue because it runs great for a limited time then acts up and sputters, backfires and stalls. It wants to run but struggles. I removed carb and everything looks good. Could it be a faulty coil? or any other suggestions. The plugs are fairly new but noticed two of the 4 have a bit more carbon build up. I cleaned them and same issue. This is the first time this has happened and ran great before storing for the winter.

sediment bowl and gas tank were clear. All cleaned last fall. I get go flow from the tank to the carb.

#1 cause of your symptoms is a fuel issue. Whether venting issue, something clogging the flow after a bit, it sure sounds like fuel to me. It sounds like the flow is slowing causing all the fuel to be used in the bowl, and it's not refilling at an adequate rate. How long before it's able to restart?

Easiest thing to do is hook up a small clean gravity feed tank directly to the carb and see what happens. If the behavior continues you know it's not the fuel system pre carb. You could also have a piece of something in your needle/seat causing restriction.

Hi Phil. I have purchased a lot of parts from you in the past. The coil checked out on a volt meter. I am getting good spark at the points. I will purchase a new coil and spark plugs as that is rather inexpensive and see how that does.
