Oliver 60 Thoughts

Evening folks, I have the opportunity to buy a very nice, straight and all original 1944 Oliver 60. I am not familiar with these tractors at all as I am a Farmall guy but it is a really good looking tractor. Darn near new tires all around and it has really good paint on it and I was amazed at the fact that it is completely original and all intact. It would not be used for anything other than riding around the farm, pulling a hay wagon in a few parades and just being a little tinker toy for me. Would love to hear some thoughts on this tractor from seasoned veteran Oliver folks. Thanks!

Fun play tractor. I think engine parts can be hard to find. Is it a wide front, narrow front, single front tire or standard?

The only thing on a 44, it might not have a road gear. Is the shift lever straight or curved? If it's curved, it should have road gear.

From the pics, it has a curved shifter on it. I have attached a few for reference.

Anyone have an idea of a good price for this tractor based on pictures and the fact that it does run and has nearly new rubber all around.

Yes motor parts have to be converted from Chrysler or others.
We use ours on the hay rakes and elevator.
Awesome parade tractor. Check cows.
Looks like a nice machine.
Good luck. GG Wes

My Senior in highschool, Bailey, giving ours a work over.
1948 model.

I wouldn't want to put a price on it, but I'd say that one would be up there at the top of the price range.

Just for perspective, I got a call recently offering me a local, one owner Super 66 with a wide front for $3000. They said 2500 to 2750 would probably get it. That would be a lot more desirable collector tractor than that 60, so just don't over pay.
