Oliver 252 Disc

I'm looking at a Oliver 252 disc harrow that is 12 foot wide and in good condition, it needs a couple gang bearings but other than that it is ready to
use. I'm not very familiar with Oliver implements so what is the good and bad on this disc?? It has the inside and outside drive wheels on each side
and comes with a cylinder.

I don't know that there's anything bad to say. Oliver built the best tillage tools in the business, simple as that. Those 252s can be pretty high priced. A jockey here has a 12 foot with heavy blades and is asking $3250 for it.

Like Randy said, they made awfully good tillage equipment. That said, I put in about a zillion miles with one of those following me around plowed ground. It left a real pretty seed bed, but, I got real good at replacing gang bearings. gm

Randy, I am going to look at it tomorrow, the man has it priced at $200!! I asked if the price was correct and it was, sounds like it will follow me home!

It would have to be in a awful bad shape for it not to be worth that.
