550 loaded tires

On my 550 the rear tires are
loaded and seeping calcium. I
have the tires off wonder if it
possible to clean tubes out and
use them or go buy new tubes.

So are you leaving the calcium out??? If they were leaking, the tube had to have a hole in it somewhere. so cleaning out the tube and not fixing the leak is a waste of time. For the amount of work to mount and dismount a rear tire. I always go with a new tube. Chris

I will not be using calcium in tires. My thought was to go with new tubes but a friend suggested trying to flush them out so I didn't know if that was even possible. I want to do this job only once so I will take your advice and go with new tubes. Thank you

New tubes is peace of mind for sure. I'd also inspect those rims for corrosion since calcium has been leaking.

Randy, radial tubes are usually a heavier tube. I'd sure look at them. Be careful remounting the tires. Please get your self some tire lube, not dish soap, soap is not slick enough.
