1650 3 point

I just about got everything up to snuff on my 1650 gas. The last issue I have is that the 3 point arms drift down when you shut the tractor
off. It takes about 1 hour to go all the way down. Any advise would be appreciated on this issue.

Do you use the 3pt much? If not, I wouldn't mess with it. The trouble is almost certainly the o ring on the cylinder. I put new ones in my 1550 and 1850 because I use the 1550 for a 3 pt rake and the 1850 for a 3pt sprayer. As the oil would get hotter, they would drop and correct to the point that they were pretty much bouncing.

To change it, you have to take the top off the transmission and rear end all the way from the dash to the back above the PTO housing. It's not a 5 minute job. Not saying you can't do it, but it's a filthy, heavy job that I wouldn't be looking forward to.

Most certainly the lift piston seal. The lowering valve is hydraulically operated so will not drop without the engine running. I've had my 1550 completely apart to fix the pump so I went through the whole system and replaced all the O-rings and seals and cleaned everything. Not a difficult job but everything is heavy. The hardest part was getting the remote valve unit off the top.

Yeah, I was afraid of that and I did not mention that it has a All Season cab that would have to come off also. I think I will table the idea for now being that It is mainly used for hobby plowing, disking, and the occasional tractor ride. Thanks for all your imput.

Looks really good.

I see the little lips on the bottom of the side panels. I didn't think those were originally on the 1650. I thought they were only on the 1655 and other 55 series.

You are correct. I Added them to this tractor. I know they are not correct but I like the looks of them and I think they help off set the
engine being in the tub at an angle when looking at it from the side.
