1850 - 1 way plow cylinder

I have an IH 720 plow that is equipped with a one way cylinder on the tailwheel. I noticed while having it hooked up to my 1850
that it will slowly begin to raise on its own. The levers are in neutral. The couplers on the tractor are worn and leak.

To plow with it, I will have to keep pushing it back down.

Where do I begin?

If you are using the 3 point you can not use aone way cylinder at the same time! Can you install a 2 way cylinder on the tail wheel.

I run an 1850.

Single acting cylinders are hooked to the right side remotes. I then adjust the bleed off on the side of the hydraulic cover under the seat for the right side.

I have a 3 bottom rollover plow, and it will creep. The single acting cylinder will start to bleed down. No big deal, I'm used to it. Just keep applying pressure occasionally.

At least on my tractor, it's something you live with, and compensate for. It's not a big deal. Don't expect the cylinder to hold, just keep flippin' the lever to level it out. Shouldn't have to put too much effort into it either. A good running plow will run level without too much tending. If the plow looks like it's starting to come out of the ground, hit the lever.

Same with all the stuff I run. I just keep hitting the lever when stuff starts to move. You get used to it.

I run a 1014 HydroSwing. I like to cut at about 6". Every few minutes, I give the lever a nudge to keep it at this height. No biggy.

My 1010 runs about the same, and I assume my "new" Krone disc mower will likely do about the same too. When you run old worn out stuff, you just accomodate for it.
