convert 770 from pos ground to neg grd

I would like to go from pos ground to neg ground. I think this is what needs to be done::::: 1. Disconnect battery. 2: Using the same coil, put neg. side of coil to distributor. 3. Change multi-meter to neg ground style. 4. Connect battery, with neg ground. Polarize generator [ my new regulator says it can be pos or neg ground ] Start tractor, all should be well ,,,,,Yes ???

Buy a new negative ground cluster gauge.

Seeing that regulator mounted in line with the generator on a 770 is interesting to me. That's how it is set up on my 77.

It was a yellow generator,,before I painted it,,,,, no doubt off a Minney,,,,, 12 volt pos ground,,,,I wish to have the 770 neg ground, like everything else I own,,,
