Helping a neighbor R&R head for a valve grind on an Oliver 1600.
Everything lines up to be a stock Oliver 1600 Gas. Except it has 3-7/8 sleeve and pistons. I believe this to be a 1650 diesel bore.
Block number 155119
Question-- Will this overbore use the standard head gasket be should a diesel gasket be used?

The problem was antifreeze getting into the cylinders. Trying to cover all bases before reassembly.
I will check the old number. If I come up with the same number in a new set, it will provide some reassurance.
Thanks,

I would get the head gasket from agkits.com. The one for a super 88 or 1600 will be the same gasket. The one I got from them was meant for a 3-7/8 bore. A 88 or stock 1600 head gasket fire ring will push on the liner towards the center too far and can crack the liner flanges if they aren't the good old liners. I head gasket I got from agkits fit the 3-7/8 liners on the outer part of the liner flange that the block supports so you shouldn't have any issues with liners.
