White Trend Truck

There is a White Trend Truck in Madison, WI that appears to be in jeopardy of being lost forever. I don't have the time, space,
and dollars - but I'm hoping someone here does and makes an effort to salvage this unique part of the Oliver family of products.
I've been watching this truck for years when I'm in Madison. I talked to the owner of place in 2009 and he was not ready to
part with the truck. It appears the owner of the place has closed up shop, as the property is being cleared of equipment and is
for sale. I was in Madison the past weekend and notice the truck had been moved. Someone got air in the tires and moved it
about 30 feet to the east. So, I drove up for another look. I have more pictures than what I'm posting here and happy to give
anyone more details. The truck is at 6530 Seybold Rd.; Madison, WI 53719. The property is listed with Acres Realty (608)298-
6598 and I'm thinking the realtor would know more about the process of clearing the property and where the truck is headed. I'd
love to see this truck at a tractor show in the future, painted up as an Oliver implement dealer delivery truck. . .cool way to
take your tractors to a show!

I remember when the Oliver dealer here had one. Hessler Brothers. It was dark green with the Keystone on the door. Loved the look of that thing.

Have you been in contact with the antique truck historical society? I know they have a FB page and I'm sure someone would notice if you mentioned it there.

I've been around trucks ALL my life, and I can't remember EVER seeing a White TREND. Didn't they have an unbreakable plastic body on the front? I seem to remember ads in Overdrive magazine and other trucking magazines with someone smacking the front face of the body with a 16# sledge hammer. There was so many different brands of medium duty trucks from the 1960's but unfortunately, the hydraulic brakes they used are some of the hardest parts to track down replacement parts for. And don't ANYBODY say that NAPA has everything you might need. I bought some brake parts for my 1996 F-250 from NAPA and every last piece was from China!
I was over on the west side of Madison last week to a Doctor's appointment but didn't pay any attention to anything on the south side of the Beltline.
The Trend was built by White, wish I had a dime for every day I drove a White truck, including the Diamond Reo made by White. I did find a single page brochure on the Trend tying it to Minneapolis-Moline, but nothing about Oliver.
Next time I get down by Davenport, Iowa I'm going to visit the truck museum at the truckstop by Walcott. I've driven by it a thousand times, stopped in a couple times, need to visit The CHROME SHOP too.

The freight line I worked for had a couple of those as COE city tractors. They were absolutely the worst riding beasts ever created. gm

There is a fairly nice Trend grain truck just west of Manitowoc Wi. This truck was always store indoors has a 25'wood sides grain box with hydraulic dump. Original owner pulled the little 327 chevy engine out and replaced with a 454. A 2speed rear was installed also a tag axle. Power steering was added also. Cab is the composite one. Super low miles less than 40000
