Hi Guys. My tachometer quit working when I was planting
corn. I Checked the cable and gauge and they seem to be
fine. It must be the angle gear in that housing the cable
threads into. The book calls it a key. Does that break and
cause it to fail. It's not spinning when I turn the motor over.
Do you know how I take it apart? Do I take the 4 bolts out
on the housing then it will be obvious? I dont want to
accidentally drop something down in the motor. Nothing
will fall off the back side will it? It's on an 1850 with a
Perkins. Are these available new if I cant find a used one?
Thanks in advance for your help.
