What is the best and most efficient way to clean out the tank?
Recently purchased a 1755 gas and the tank is full of rust and crap. She runs fine until crud blocks the fuel.

This thing needs some TLC, but overall she runs good and has a good over / under and tranny.

remove the tank, put some old nuts and bolts, steel shot or something similar into the tank, strap it onto the rear wheel of a tractor and go about doing some work, you can rotate the tank to get the other sides. shake out all the stuff from inside. sometimes if there is a lip on the fill hole you will need to vacuum out the last goodies. tank will be shiny and clean inside.

I will second taking it to a radiator shop and having it cleaned if possible. We did our gas tank on the 1650 back in February. Turned out good.

I know somebody on this forum who put a chain in one and did that. That one had a baffle in it and the chain got all wrapped up on it. LOL

Took mine to radiator shop 2 years ago and it still looks like chrome inside. It was the worst one i had ever seen.
