1850 PTO drive hub, solid or spring dampened?

I am working on a friends 1850 diesel SN 179 154 428 and the PTO drive plate fell apart when we removed it. It was the spring dampened style, but it appears there my be a solid drive hub available and it kind of appears from the parts listing the solid may have been used as OEM on the later tractors. Do the solid ones cause any driveline noise or gear rumble? I think the solid ones are more expensive then the genuine Rockford spring dampened drive hubs. What do you Oliver experts recommend? Thanks!

(quoted from post at 00:27:54 05/13/22) all the pto drive hubs I ever saw were solid. that is not a lot but several. This opinion is worth what it cost.

OK, thanks for the reply.

I think the early tractors had the spring dampened drive hub that you're talking about and the later (after 67) had the solid. I also believe
that if you were to change to a solid hub, you would also have to change the long pto shaft (early and late are different) and flywheel
(early and late are different) as they were all part of a design change, and all have a little different dimension
