OLIVER 1650 SEAT REPLACEMENT

Any suggestions for complete seat replacement? I'm sure I can make a "universal" fit.
The structure of the original is pretty poor.

Is that one of the early ones with the two rubber torsion springs on the front or the one with the steel torsion springs on the
back? It's pretty hard to beat the later ones with anything aftermarket. I changed my early style one on my 1600 to the later one
just recently. It shouldn't be too hard to find one of those in a bone yard.

If it is just the seat and not the support mechanism, I have one from K & N on mine. If you are needing the support parts, a salvage search is in order. Where
are you located? There is one in Minnesota and one in Wisconsin that have a lot of Olivers.

Pretty poor condition

That's the good seat. If you buy the good quality seat cushions, they'll have a metal base under the bottom cushion and across the seat back. I've bought a cheap set and they were just plywood and didn't last long. Looks like that's what happened to yours. Good ones aren't cheap, but they're worth the money. If this site doesn't have good ones, call Jerry Stair at agpartsfirst dot com. That original suspension and a good set of cushions for it will beat any aftermarket seat hands down going away.
