Worked the 66

Geez, I've had this 66 for probably 25 years before and never plowed with it before. My son plowed with the newer wide front 66 last year, so I hooked the narrow front on this morning. The tractor did great, but I was having trouble with the hitch on the plow tripping too much. I put a new spring in it last year and it worked great. I'll have to take it apart again and see what's going on. The old gal looked pretty good in the field, but no matter how much anybody romances it, I'd sure hate to farm this way again after using tractors with cabs and bigger equipment.

Looks good Randy. That's what Dad had and we plowed with, only his was a diesel. Sure was a lot handier then his 1938 JD A.

is that an oliver rooster comb plow?
i have one for my garden, does a great job

It's an Oliver, but it's not a rooster comb. It has the clutch lift.

Great pics. Wish I could play in the dirt - clay is still cold and wet. Water about an inch down in the garden. Oh well, supposed to be warm and dry. I'll get the tiller ready.....
