Hi, I have an Oliver 70 Standard. It has the 3 gear HC engine.
I bought it from a guy who said it was sitting with water for 14 years. He was telling the truth. All but 1 of the valves were stuck. All but 2 of the lifters were/are still stuck. At least 5/6 liners are cracked. For some reason one of the crankshaft main bearings is cracked in half. And the block is cracked in between timing gear covers and generator mounting bracket.
So unless I find a lot of parts and fix the cracked block, I will need a new engine.
Does anyone know what other machines had the same engine? I think it's a continental D202.
Or does anyone know of tractor salvage yards with Oliver 70s?
