Poor running 1650 update

So I think I have it. Didnt do much. I had replaced plugs , cap, wires, and it still wouldnt throttle up without wanting to stall. Finally got new rotor ( Holley distributor and local auto parts said they couldnt get one). I checked voltage at the battery, starter, and coil. All the same. I cleaned up all the wire connections and put a dab of dielectric grease on them. Had it running and took a long time adjusting the carb. It seems very fussy. Like less than an eight of a turn fussy between wanting to die and running good. Im sure most of it was the corrosion in the cap contacts and plug wires. It still ran poorly after that till I put on the new rotor. It ran better, and I was able to adjust the carb till it ran well. Rotor for a Holley distributor is either not available at the auto parts stores, or costs an arm and a leg. Ag Parts wanted somewhere around 35 bucks for the rotor. I found them cheaper at The Brillman Company. Us made and were 5 or 6 dollars each. Just in case anyone needs one. Im going to put the tractor back to work and see what happens. Thank you everyone who tried to help !

The biggest problem with those distributors was the sliding plate the points are mounted to. It wears badly and point setting cannot be maintained. I have bolted a couple of them down so they cannot move and clipped the lever from the vacumm advance. In another case I grabbed a Delco distributor from an old 77. Blocks are the same depth. It has been in there for years, but we lost the tach cable connection. In another a Mallory dist was installed. Distributor number is YL666 A...AGCO number for the points is 30-318-6808 and the AGCO number for the cond is 30-318-6679..Points and condensors can be gotten from Adavance auto. Numbers are BWD#WS28 and BWD#GI38..
