1550 front axle

Wide front adjustable axle. I can't get one side to move. Loosen u bolts and remove pin but can't make it budge. Should I leave bolts loose and drive it around with just the pin to see if it will jiggle enough to free up? Other ideas??

Maybe. I ran my 1600 with the clamps loose and a loader on it for 16 years and it never came loose. My niece's husband bought a 1650 a month ago, loosened the clamps and put smaller pins in it and he said one side came loose already.

We had to build a 20 pound slide hammer to get axles apart. Still have to use a porta power in between the knees on occasion if the are really stuck.

I've been running mine for six years with the pins in but no U-bolts. Even tried a large pry bar to spread the slots for some penetrant. Nothing worked. Have a loader on it now, maybe that will help.
