I had to move the 1550 again today, it was in the low 20's. I started it and started backing it out of the shed to get the 1850 out to plow snow. I cranked the steering wheel both directions about 1/4 turn and then held it steady, it took about 10 or 15 seconds and then the front wheels turned left and then right. All movement of the front wheels was delayed a few seconds from when I turned the steering wheel. I let it run a few minutes before I shut it off. After I finished plow snow, I started it and let it run a few minutes and then the steering worked as it should. I changed the hydraulic oil and filter after I got it, the hydraulic oil was quite milky. I'm wondering if the oil in the steering lines is still the old contaminated oil and if that would have anything to do with erratic steering. Hope it warms up soon so I can try to see where the steering motor is leaking from.
