At least I think that is what it is called when reality goes on past intentions. Working on my 88. It had a 77 motor in it when I bought it and always wanted to get a 88 engine for it. I looked for many years before I finally found one, it was supposed to have come out of a running tractor and I paid way too much for it. Got it home and set it on a pallet in the shed, just never had the time or ambition to start in on it. I would turn it a little from time to time so it wouldn't get stuck. Finally decided it would be wise to put some oil in the cylinders. When I took the spark plugs out, they were pretty nasty looking, 3 were really oil fouled, not a good sign! A friend called a couple of months ago, he has a buddy that is selling a good 88 motor out of his pulling tractor for $250. I bought it and started in on the 88. The hydraulic has leaked oil into the transmission every since I got it, so I figured I would pull the Hydraulic unit and fix that while I was working on it. I got the motor out and looked at the shaft coming out of the front of the transmission. Not good, the splines are nearly wore off. I guess I will be tearing into the transmission after I get the motor back in and running. I wonder how many more things I will find before it's done???
