Cut down the battery tray

The battery tray has been replaced at some time and it was welded in right against the back of the gas tank. There wasn’t room to get the gas tank out without moving the instrument panel back. I cut the front off and welded it back on so now there’s room to get the tank in or out. Wish it was warmer so I could paint it.

Remember if you are putting an 88 motor back in that the 88 motor is longer and will set back towards the tank about 5/8 of an inch closer to the tank.

Yes, an 88 motor is going back in, time will tell. It wasn't that bad of a job, if I need to I can
take some more off and weld it again.
