550 Diesel Fuel in Crankcase

Greetings and thank you for reading!
My 59 550 Diesel, Serial #79469, pumps out blue/gray smoke. I confirmed the issue with what looks like fairly diluted engine oil well above the crankcase operating level on the dipstick. She spews a bit of this concoction out of the breather tube and leaks a touch at the fulcrum lever shaft port for the throttle lever on the Bosch injection pump.
The mechanical lift pump is refurbished from a 77/88, and therefore I do not believe it is that diaphragm.
The book states it could be a worn plunger or a gasket under the delivery valve. Both concern me, and frankly, I am a bit scared of digging into the high pressure side of the system. But I guess I will need to do it eventually.
I turned down the fuel delivery due to being at altitude, and think maybe that pushed the delivery valve to return line to the tank a bit far?
Any thoughts? Yes I am a novice with diesels, I am sorry.
Any idea which gasket should be replaced? The shop manual does not list all parts in the Bosch injection pump, unfortunately.
Thank you for thoughts/suggestions/direction!

More than likely the HYDRAULIC HEAD seals are leaking, NOT the "delivery valve". When the hydraulic head wears bad enough engine won't start when hot, and that's long
before the plunger will pass fuel into the oil. There are NO hard parts available anymore, only good used IF you can find them. I just re-sealed a Cockshutt 570 PSB pump
awhile back, gaskets and seals are all that's available anymore..

Thank you Dieseltech!
Fortunately she fires up after a second of cranking when hot, so I would agree it’s not the plunger.
Any idea where I should look for the hydraulic head gaskets/seals/o-rings?
Those must have been a tough find for a Cockshutt as well!
Thank you for the direction

(quoted from post at 16:00:14 01/18/21) I keep the PSB kits on hand. The external spring kit is KT76278. It DOES NOT include the governor shaft seal..

Excellent! May I purchase one of these kits and spring from you? How should I contact you directly? Thank you!
