550 power steering

Still working to get the power steering working properly on my 550. Pump shows to be putting out the proper pressure, and the steering cylinders are not leaking internally when tested with air. Today the new
power steering control valve arrived and we have begun to install. Mine has the control valve that is sort of triangular in shape with 3 bolts that hold it. My repair manual shows pictures of a very
different column so I don't really know what I have. My tractor is a gas, 1962. The new valve looks just like the old one so we are going in the right direction. My question at this point is when installing
this valve there is a large nut that clamps down on the bearings prior to putting the steering column tube on which tightens the whole thing down. The question is how tight do you make this large nut? It also
appeared when we took the old one off that the top edge of the nut what sort of peened into a slot in the steering shaft. The slot looks like a key way but there is not key.. So any idea on how tight we should
make this nut? Have to put quite a bit of tractor back together to actually test operation so I'm hopeful we can get it right the first time!

Thanks for the help.
