Anybody ever owned or saw an Oliver silage wagon? It looks like the last wagons were model 740's. In looking at sales brochures and Google images they appear the same as New Idea wagons. In doing some more looking the also look like Calhoun wagons which were built in Iowa. Calhoun also built the first Allis Chalmers forage boxes. I have seen a small handful of Oliver pull type and self propelled choppers but never a forage box. Anybody have any stories or info? Tom

There was an article about some of those low volume sales pieces of equipment that were made by other companies, in Oliver Heritage a while back. I did a quick look, but that issue must be farther back in my "library" than what was right near the top. I don't recall who did build those boxes, but maybe somebody else has quicker access to that article without having to do so much digging as I'd have to.
