Took the manifold off the 66 and separated the intake and the exhaust,bolts wrung off as I expected.Anyway looking at the intake holes that mount to the block appears that they are not cut square with the manifold like the exhaust ports are cut.They are tapered back a little bottom to top as they sit on the tractor.
Is there a reason for this? Bolted the intake back on,started the tractor seems to runs good now as well as I can tell with no exhaust manifold on it, that the ports can go flush against against the head.How is all that supposed to work?
