well i blew up the old Massey and need to find a replacement i am going to go look at a White 1370 2wd and need to know what to look out for and if you think it will be good for blowing snow. have a 6 foot blower now. the old Massey was a little to fast even in low gear backing up. how are the 1370's. i don't know a lot about tractors but am here to learn, any help is appreciated.

It's the same as an Oliver 1365, Fiat through and through. They were one of the best to carry an Oliver badge. Parts are available, but like everything import, not cheap.

nothing is cheap anymore. any insights on running a snowblower with it? i hear they are good tractors but dont know anyone that has owned one.

I have a 2WD 1365 about the same tractor as the White, low range is pretty low in reverse so I'd think it'd work on a snowblower.Great tractors in my opinion and parts are actually cheaper and more available than most any other older tractor. Can get most anything for it off ebay.If the starter gives problems which they will sometimes get a replacement off ebay for the
Long 560 much better and cheaper than the original Oliver starter.

thanks for the tip. this would only be the second tractor i have bought any thing i should look for in particular when i go see it?

I've got a 1365 Oliver. Great tractor. I wouldn't be the least bit concerned about parts. It's not that I've needed much for it,
but whether I get the parts from the AGCO dealer or Rick at Rick's Ag Parts, I have them here the next day. Just to give you an
indication of how inexpensive parts are for it, I needed a hydraulic pump, called Rick, next day I had a new pump, gasket, o rings
and drive hub, less than $200 including shipping. I use mine 7 days a week 365 feeding cattle. I've started that tractor at -18F
using no aid but the Thermo Start manifold heater. Best starting diesel ever. Just make sure the previous owner has always run it
with the PTO clutch lever in the down "engaged" position. If you run it with the clutch disengaged continually, it wears out the
thrust washer on the crank.

Have somebody else move the PTO lever up and down while you watch the front pulley and see it it moves in and out.
