Ran across a 880 chassis from a rubber tired roller, only thing left is reverser, trans, rear, axles.im wondering if the internal parts from trans and rear are the same as a super 88.the gesrs, shafts, carrier, bull gears.and what ring and pinion would it be,I'm thinking pretty fast based on such small tire size.the brakes look the same,as does the trans cover...I have a roller powered by a 770 how could I tell the difference between a 770 trans-rear and a 880,theres no tag on the supposed 880,so could a tape measure be used somehow ??

Are the sprockets still on the axles? We have one like it and are modifying them---Thanks Tee

Ok.i looked at the gear shift pattern tag theres no reverse, and the pattern is opposite of my 88-s88 (left to right).so I understand it should have the helical gear transmission...would the carrier, bull gears, and ring and pinion interchange with a 88-s88,or would the pinion shaft have a different spline being from a helical trans ??

Did you get it bought? Where are you located? If you own it would you sell the sprockets off it? Would you count the teeth on the sprockets to see if we have the same as you? Lot's of ???--sorry--THANKS---Tee

I have no idea how many different power units Tampo used on their packers but found this one and thought it was neat---Tee

Looks just like the one we have. A guy in town runs a construction co. and brought the whole thing out--He gave me the 880 part of it for converting the packer into a pull type--It sat out back in the "project" row for 20 years---Tee
