I am working on pulling the engine on my 1755 an noticed in the Oliver shop manual says to use eye nut STS 137 Oliver tool # I know I can make me
something r just use a chain on the 9/16 -18 stud but was wondering if someone had one r knew were I could buy a 9/16 -18 eye nut Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply scooters can I have looked on McMaster-Carr website but they do not have a 9/16 fine tread eye nut listed

My neighbor and I made one. He has a metal shop and rolled me a round ring about 3 inches in diameter made out of 1/2 inch round stock. I had a piece of hex stock about 1-1/4 inch in size and we drilled and tapped it for the 9/16 inch SAE thread. Same idea as that tool.

Johnnie T, you could use a 1/2-13 steel eye nuts from McMaster-Carr and drill it out to 9/16 fine thread. Your lifting capacity should remain high enough to lift an engine. The main problem would drilling and tapping straight.
Thanks
