Stopped in to see a friend today that was having trouble with one of his 1550s. The sediment bowl under the gas tank was nearly empty and when we poured gas into the tank, the area on the carb shown in the first picture in the area of the white arrow began to leak gas. That area is where the end of the choke shaft would be. The same area on his other 1550 in the other photo looks like it is solid with no signs of a seal. Does this mean that the first one has a spot that has rusted through? Or is there a seal around that shaft that cannot be seen in either photo that could be replaced?
