55 diesel Pull start?

Came into a 55 diesel. Grown up in honeysuckle and has set for a few years. It was running when parked. It has starter issues. Can I pull it to start it? Can I pull it 12 miles or so to home without damage.

How many years since it last ran? I'd remove the injection pump as is, where is meaning DO NOT TURN ENGINE TO SET TIMING!! First time engine is turned, the hydraulic head will be junk when the plunger snaps off if it's stuck tight with stale fuel, as MOST PSB pumps are when they set awhile. Just got in a Case PSB, plunger is broken because engine was turned to see if it was stuck. I usually make pumps work again that have the plunger stuck, can't do anything with it when it's broke...

heck no!! as said remove the pump first thing! i just took one off a 900 case that was stuck solid. got it all free and tractor is running. only pull it home do not put in gear and turn engine.
