Anybody want a 500

A friend stopped in yesterday and asked me if I wanted to buy an Oliver 500 gas. I wish somebody else would buy it before I do something stupid. He turned 65 this year same as me and said he needs to start thinning the herd. He did some trading and got this thing ten years ago. He said he got it running, but the shift is stuck, most likely from sitting outside. We didn't talk price, except that I told him I wouldn't give him much. He said to come and look at it. It's located west of Greenville Michigan. If anybody's interested, my email is linked up on classic. Send me an email and I'll give you his name and number. I hope somebody takes it before I get bored and go look at it. I don't have room for any more, but I'm afraid that might not be enough to stop me.

No idea. I was thinking about offering $500 for it if it wasn't totally rusted out and shot. If you send me an email, I can give you his number. He's just a little north of M44 on Lincoln Lake road and east a mile or so.

Just for clarity though, it's a 500 not a 550. It's a David Brown 850 for all intent and purposes, except they never made an 850 gas.

You may need an intervention! :)

Hopefully someone picks it up with plans to get it working.

I think JWondergem needs it Kevin. It's not more than about five miles from his house. I know it needs a grill piece and the grill
badge, that'd be good business for you. LOL

LOL, I'm full, three under a tarp, two in my Harbor Freight hotel and one out doors. I've been working on my Grandson's 46, 60. I hate body work, but like painting. I paint outside, so this may be my last week before it gets too cold.

Well Jack, Mike said it's been outside for over ten years anyway, so it might as well be sitting outside at your place. I don't think
you'd have to talk very hard to get him to deliver it. You'd get yourself a whole new passion if you worked on one of those British
beauties. LOL
