Correct Oliver 1650 Carburetor?

Good morning! Im working on my Oliver 1650 (1964/gas 265 Waukesha) that I am bringing back to life and Im down to the carburetor. That carburetor that I pulled off the tractor is a marvel schebler tsx 868. The guy who had the tractor before me said it never ran quite right. I dont know the full history of this tractor, so I dont know if this carb is original or not. When I reference my service manual (432526B) it states that the 1650 should have a TSX-807. Does anyone know if the 1650s came with 868 carbs in 64 then came with 807s later? I dont want to waste time rebuilding a 868 if the tractor needs an 807 anyways. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Good to know! I appreciate you sharing that with me. Both the 1600 and the 1650 had the 265 so there should be no issues with an 868 on a 1650 correct?

There were 2 1600 gas engines a 231 in the early 1600 gas and 248 in later ones. The 265 gas came with the 1650. There were also 2 different 1600 gas carburetors one for each bore size.

I used to have a breakdown of both 1600 and the 1650 carbs. You maybe able to update your carb to the 807 with just a few parts,

I was wondering about that, I saw on a website a couple carb kits for sale and the numbers were the same for the 868 and 807. Definitely worth looking into, thanks again.
