Co Op / Cockshut plow

I have a 2 bottom 3 point hitch plow that came with my dads 57 co op tractor. How do I identify if it is a Co Op. Has pnumatic tire for depth adjustment.

Hey Packrat,

The Co-op name on tractors in the USA ended in 1953.

If it is a Cockshutt /Co-op built Plow, look for the casting parts to start with the letter "P" !!!

If it has a crank style wheel height adjustment, it is a model 1230 plow...built 1952 thru 1958

If the height adjustment is at the tire assy. and if it has a mechanical plow bottom kick back feature, it is a COCKSHUTT 280 plow.... Same "P"and part numbers on the castings...built 1958 thru 1962

Phil, what model plow would of been bought with a 51 Cockshutt 40? Been thinking of getting a plow to go with mine and wasnt sure what would have sold with it.

Hey Whiskey Bent,

A COCKSHUTT/CO-OP 24A Medium Duty Plow would fit your '51 COCKSHUTT 40. Available in 2-3-4&5 bottoms. mechanical or hydraulic lift......

The Heavy Duty COCKSHUTT 4A introduced 1954 looks about the same but uses forged steel beams rather regular steel beams.

We have COCKSHUTT plows on stock here.
