I am finishing up the install of a new head gasket on one of my 1855's and noticed the temp and fuel gauges did not respond to the key being turned on. Discovered a bad fuse holder and replaced it. I now have power coming to one side of the gauge but they are still dead. There is not even an initial jump when the key is turned on. I hooked a jumper wire directly from the battery and nothing change. Thought there might have been a voltage drain. Also hooked a jumper wire to the sender unit side on the gauges and ground it but nothing changed. These used to work so I am dumbfounded on what happened. Did i just have two gauges go bad? Any ideas would be appreciated. Also yes to the sender units being hooked up. I did not test the voltage level at the gauge.
