Tie Rod

Pictured are the two tie rods from my RC 77. I dont know where the more heavy duty one came from. Im just curious if it might it have been made for a later series model, like a Super or three digit?

With that jam nut on there, I'd say yes. The ones on my 1550,1600 and 1850 are like that. The ones on the Whites are too, but they use a bigger end. They had a 3/4 inch nut instead of an 11/16ths or whatever that is. An inch and an eighth wrench on the nut vs a 15/16ths.

I don't remember exactly when it was but those older tie rods were superceeded by the later style because of extra loads placed on them.
