1655 engine rebuild

Got the 283 diesel tore down today.#5 spun rod bearing. It locked up with me about month ago.
I've decided to convert it to 310.
I have a good used crank for a 310 and I think I'm going to have it machined to -.010 rods and mains.
What is the easiest way to remove the 48 year old crank pulley?
 
I just use a puller. Never a problem. A hammer is not a good tool for that job. Just had one off a 1655 that had been in place since new.
