Just wondering if M & W offered a governor for the 88 (gas)?

Mine needs a rebuild but that is not the reason for the question. A fellow years ago claimed that M & W had a governor that fit the 88 and offered superior performance. Just trying to figure if he was on the level with that statement.

I worked on nearly every brand from 1948 until the early 70's. I only recall M&W having Gov. kits for IHC F20s, H's and M's.
During those days Oliver governor's were at the top of the field.
