Need more information. what is the part number of the seal you have and which front end do you have? How about a serial number and a casting number of the hub.

Not sure if your hub is the same as mine, but if I remember right I put the bearing in the hub in the race, then put the seal in
the hub. Then you can put the hub, bearing and seal on the spindle.

Hi:

The bearing, for mine, is on the spindle. The hub is on the axel. Other than that, yes, the race and seal are in the hub. The spindle and bearing then pass thru the seal and the bearing seats on the race and then to inner bearing an nut can be attached to the end of the spindle.

When you did yours, did you replace the seal? That is what I am looking for.

Thanks

Guys the front axle is a Wheatland or Industrial, Since it is painted red it is a Canadian Wheatland. This axle is a whole different setup
from what you are used to seeing, the wheel mounts to a flange and the spindle goes into the axle steering pivot.

 The outer bearing (next to
flange) is Cockshutt # KS 5014, it's Timken # 28580 & 28521. Inner bearing is Cockshutt # KS 5013 Timken # 14138A & 14274. The seals (2 used, inner and
outer are same part #) Cockshutt # K 737 A, two suppliers, Nippon # 69Y085R or Ohio Rubber Co # 3214207. < These are really old part numbers, going
all the way back to 77 & 88 tractors. Ask a dealer to do a dealer search, I'm sure some dealer has them laying in a parts bin & will be glad to get rid of
them. A bearing store will be able to get you the bearings, however the seals will be the tough ones.

Hi B A Star:

Thank you for getting me closer to a part number.

Wow, a difference because it is a Canadian tractor. I would never have thought of that.

Is there a place where you found this information for my future reference?

You mentioned 2 seals per spindle. I only saw one on the good side I took apart. The inner side has a dust cover and no seal.

In my other post I found at www.agcopartsbooks.com in book 296 the similar knuckle which lists K737 as the seal with alternate seal as 163101. But when I got that seal is was smaller diameter. Does that mean there is 2 different seals for the same part?

Thanks

Those numbers all cross to the Oliver 1550 wheatland axle as well. The parts book has the Timken numbers in it. There's nothing different between Canadian vs. American.

Also, I've had good luck with Korves or Jerry at Ag Parts First when it comes to stuff like this. They have oddball stuff that isn't listed on their websites, but when I call they know exactly what I'm looking for based off the original part numbers or my vague descriptions.
